The few, the proud...the...few.
Yeah, My photo Safari I had planned on Saturday was squashed by the dust/rain storm. I stole a few pics from Jen though.
Okay, They're not REALLY running from the dust storm. Just some rapier fighters charging into battle.
.
Max fights for my name...in green stripey pants!
There was an awesome husband and wife team in merchants who did beautiful hair braids. I couldn't resist and went and got my hair done asap. The braid lasted about 3 days. I was amazed.
Here's the result. I got the heart shaped braid. Flowers came for free. I still have them. I plan to put them in my Dollhouse flower boxes later.
Loooooved my braid! I was going to go back and get another one but..yeah..dust storm. ARG!
Jen Got her hair all did too. She got something a little more intricate than mine. So pretty!
Here is Jen and me at her first Estrella in our neeeeew Ghawzees! I made Jen's for Christmas. The one I'm wearing I bought from Anya's Tribal who was a Merchant. Yeah I know...Not period, really. But they are flattering and VERY comfortable for war and to dance in. The second pic is of Jen and our new SCA friend, Octavia. Our sassy Lesbian from Lyandomere. Estrella was her first war. She was a total HOOT! LOVED HER!
Dust Storm Destruction! We were running through the camps colapsing the mundane tents to make sure they didn't get damaged as well as super steaking down the period pavilions to make sure they didn't fly away. This pic was when the storm started to die down a bit and we had time to run out and secure items ...then the second wave hit and we all hid.
We all hid in Capt'n pavillion during the next wave. Thank God that thing is huge. We managed to jam about 5 people in there comfortably. It was like a clown car! After the second wave, Max and I went back to the yurt and waited out the rest of the storm by reading and napping.
Saving what needs to be saved...because I have priorites!
And that's all for photos, folks! I'll probably snap some fun pics of my Swag I got for my B-day at war later on.
