New Year's Meme

cinagelI'm back from my adventures up north! I shall post a report and photos later. For now all I got time for is a meme that I've stolen from everyone.
1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Bought a house!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I consider them goals more than resolutions. I got one goal down. The other I did not. So I'll be working towards that goal for the next year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Colleen and Laurean.:)
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Luckily no. But I was moved by Kolffina's death. She inspired me.
5. What countries did you visit?
none.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Less stress and more money.;)
7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 9th. When we got the house.
Last Gathering in LA in August. Good Times!
October - 1st year aniversary trip to Vegas!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Buying a house.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Didn't really have one.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Umm..caught a cold. That was about it.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A house...I'm sounding like a broken record.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My friends & family.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Eh, the general asshats in the world but I refuse to let them get to me for too long.
14. Where did most of your money go?
House. :P
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Oh LORD its the same damn answer! The House!
16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2009?
Supermassive Blackhole by Muse...not sure why...*cough* Ty *cough*.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? happier feels like.
b) thinner or fatter? fatter. Ugh.
c) richer or poorer? Poorer of course.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Spent more time with my family up north.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stressing.
20. How did you spend Christmas?
Spent it with my family up north. SO AWESOME.
21. How will you be spending New Years?
Spending it with the Maiden.
22. Did you fall in love in 2009?
Still am.
23. How many one-night stands?
None.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
South Park, The Tudors, Dexter, Family Guy, and V.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope.
26. What was the best book you read?
World War Z, Patient Zero, Pillars of the Earth, World Without End, Heart Shaped Box, and Gill's All Fright Diner.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Muppets Bohemian Rhapsody.
28. What did you want and get?
Do I really need to type it again? A house.
29. What did you want and not get?
Nothing really. But then I wasn't really looking for anything.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Princess and the Frog, Paranormal Activity, and Drag me to Hell.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Max took me to Creole Cafe. MmmMMMMmmmMMmm. I think I turned 33...I can't believe I forgot how old I am...O.o.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Less stress and more jobs for my friends.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Slightly Boho Chic.
34. What kept you sane?
Friends, Family, and Max.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Uh...*shrugs*
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Gay Marriage.
37. Who did you miss?
My family. I don't want to go that long without seeing them again.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Didn't just meet them but I have gotten to know Christal better as well as Banshea. And both are stellar ladies.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
Enjoy life. Sometimes things that seem so urgent now will meaning nothing in the future. Charish every second because it will never be back.
