Also! We're currently looking for fans to host some panels at this years Gathering! We have some already awesome ones lined up for art, costuming (remind me to tell you about my Project Run-Garg event;)) and even a panel on Dollfies by

Date: 2009-05-19 12:52 am (UTC)Alas, I don't think any of my weird crafts translate into panel material, and I'll be a vendor so...=(

Date: 2009-05-19 01:02 am (UTC)Awww, I'd go and find out how you make em! But if youre a vendor it makes sense.:)

Maybe go through the process of making a latex mold from alginate to plaster to latex coat?

Date: 2009-05-19 03:35 am (UTC)If you'd like to host a panel feel free! Just let me know what you'd like to host and we'll pass it on to the staff.
We also could use some volunteers with a good head on their shoulders.:)

Date: 2009-05-19 06:05 am (UTC)I just don't know what I could do to help? I'm a second year animation grad student, so I could talk about animation, or do an analysis of some part of Gargoyles or Spider-man, from a technical animation perspective...
Something fun might be have people submit clips or vote on something and compile a 'top ten best animation moments in Gargoyles' and 'top ten worst animation moments', etc? Or....I don't know, really...
But if there's something I can do to help, please feel free to suggest it to me :) As you know I also do costuming (studied it for about two years at UCLA before switching to animation) and fine art in general....

Date: 2009-05-19 04:27 pm (UTC)I think an analysis/discussion pannel on either Gargoyles of Spiderman would be super awesome! I really like that idea.
I am already running a costume pannel but we always welcome more if you'd like to teach one!
We also could use volunteers here and there for things. so if you are able to come to con and want to help I'm sure we can find something for you to do.:)

Date: 2009-05-19 03:55 pm (UTC)Um, will see about art for the con (ahaha, after war LOL), can offer a commission slot otherwise, since I'll be seeing you shortly, I'll just ask you about it then :P
