Another Day Another...Thing.
Aug. 24th, 2010 10:26 amBeen Busy and haven't felt much like posting..since I've been busy. Also, I've been busy with a lot of things that aren't that exciting to post about. Mainly work since its still the summer season and we've been getting tourists out the wazoo! Not that I'm complaining. When attendance goes up that means I keep my job and therefore can keep myself emersed in the lifestyle I have become so acustomed to...aka comfortably treading water.
So lets see....what has happen in the last few weeks that is worth mentioning.
Not a hellava lot.
Mostly SCA stuff to be honest. Looks like I'm going to be the new Baronial Chatelaine (aka, Newb greeter) for Calafia starting in the New Year. I received an email from the current Chatelaine asking if I'd be interested. Apparently my rep for being a chatterbox is getting around. So I stepped up. I'm currently a deputy right now and I'll probably be taking the reigns sometime next year...or whenever they tell me I am. Honestly, I'm looking forward to it. I think its going to be a fun time. What do I have to lose? Other than sanity and gradschool stripped me of that years ago I assure you.
I think what amuses me most about taking the job is that it was Max's job when we first met. It was funny really. I emailed the kingdom trying to figure out where the heck to go and they sent me Max's email. He was just about to step down from Chatelaine and apparently I was the very last email he answered. Next thing you know we're talking on the phone and I'm giving him a fake description of me, convinced he was a stalker.
Yes, that's the man I married.
Fate...makes me giggle sometimes.
So I am highly amused that I am taking the job that my husband had that caused us to meet. The long running gag right now is maybe I'll end up meeting my future husband this way.
In other SCA news, the Iron Maiden has a page on the Caid Wiki. And it amuses me so! Actually its been up for a while now. So if you ever wondered who is on the crew and what they look like..wonder no more. Ketill and I have been futzing with it and trying to make it look all shiney. Still trying to find some better pictures of people like Ellyn Ace and Rebok....mainly one of Max. I am lacking good photos of Mr. Max in garb. And the one someone put up there of him is really doofy. Like even doofy for him. Trust me..Dooooooofy.
The fellas have desided that Thursday night is going to be their new Warhammer night. Therefore Ty and I desided that Thursday night will now be stitch n bitch night. So if anyone wants to join in on the fun, Lemme know. The studio will be open to folks who need it!
