cinagel: (Bird's Nest)
So This month has been crazy busy it seems. Just lots on the plate. So my updating in LJ jas been sparse if anything.
Yeah...I'm a bad bad blogger.

I've come to the crashing conclusion that my body simply refuses to hold heat in. Seriously. Today is chilly but not mind blowingly so. Yet I'm sitting here at my desk in my coat and gloves. I seriously think I may be part lizard now after moving to San Diego. Freakin' weather turned me into a cold whimp. BAH!
But on the upside, I am wearing my cute fingerless gloves I bought at May War. It kinda makes me wish I knew how to knit so I can make one of those cute sweaters that have the handcovers built into the sleeves.
Because GOD knows I need another hobby like I need a hole in the head.

My exhaustion is finally lifting and it looks like I'll have a free weekend to myself after Thanksgiving so thats definitely win and awesome. Gives me time to work on things that have been sitting stagnent for WAY too long...like Winter Arts stuff. O.o
Yeah I was a fool and entered Winter Arts again. Lord knows what I'll put up. Eh, I'll figure something out eventually.

But the creativity is at an all time high. And my motivation is currently at a low because I have been so blasted tired. Slightly irritated today because I had plans to work on some cross stitch on hand towels as gifts for Mom, Leelee, and Aunt Lorraine while at the desk. Totally forgot all the stuff at home.
Last night I DID manage to work more on my mockup for my Italian Ren. I lost my old pattern in the move so I have been working on getting a new one together. Got the front to fit great. Its the back now that's all weird. too big in the shoulders, too small in the bust.  waist fits great. So now it does this weird bowing thing around the neckline and I'm kinda clueless how to solve it. Going to maybe pick Colleen's brain if she allows. Because I'm stumped on how to fix this. If I'm going to make the effort to make a pattern, it better damn well fit me!

Also, back on the dollhouse kick again. I found a kit on amazon for about $30. Its a small four room house and I know the kit is kinda El Cheapo. But I figured its a good way for me to get started on the hobby. So I may pick it up and have it be my little side pet project. I would like to make it a victorian cottage and work on putting together the decor and the furnature so it looks period. We'll see how that goes. I'm actually kinda excited to try something that DOESN'T involve fabric.

Oh, and I'm offically addicted to Dresden Files. On book three now.

TOTALLY looking forward to Thanksgiving. Me Wants Turkey!!!
