Well that was an interesting morning.

My usual 30 minute commute to work took...oh...2 hours today.
*head desk*
It was insanely chaotic on the road. First an accident on the 94. Then while stuck on the 94 going to the 5 I hear on the radio the 5 was backed/closed up because there was a jumper on the overpass who was up there since 1 am this morning. O.o
Yikes.
I think the weirdest/saddest/surrealist moment was driving on the 5. The north side was only slightly detoured while the south side was completely detoured. On my way around said overpass I saw said jumper just standing there on the chainlink protection fence with the police near by and some gawkers on the other overpass just watching. Probably waiting to see if she'd actually jump.
Thaaaat pretty much has put me in a weird place this morning. O.o
So yeah. I'm feeling really weird right now.
NOT a good day to leave one's tea at home.

On to nicer things!

Because I just had a latte and I'm ready to conquor the world!
....well at least I'm ready to finish my laundry tonight.

So Max and I have desided that October has been a good month for us.

-First off, Max was promoted  to Tech 4!! WOOO! This will mean A pay raise and he will be switching to regular hours with less weekend days and only RARELY midnight shifts. He has been wanting this job forever and they offically told him its his yesterday. WOOT! He will be slowly transitioning into the position over the next few months. We're looking forward to both the hours and the pay raise.
Max said mentioned that if he got this job he'll be looking more into getting back into SCA....Lord help the SCA. ;D

-In honor of our anniversary, Max bought me a WiiFit. I have been wanting one for a long while now but didn't want to get it because we had so little space. Now we DO have space and I LOVE me some WiiFit! I don't like playing video games usually, but I LOVE me the WiiFit!

-We're planning our first offical party at Chateau de Nom Nom (Max picked out this name in honor of the Kitteh...FYI;)). I popped over to the .99 store and picked up a couple things like a tablecloth, some bowls and plates and some candles. Max picked up 3 count them THREE pumpkins to carve! I'm not sure WHEN we're going to carve them, maybe Thursday night. But I am very excited to carve them and put them out front.

- We're more or less settled in the house now. Not completely decorated and we still need to travel up north to get furnature but pretty much settled. I've grown to love having space. I love waking up in the morning and going into the kitchen to fix myself some tea without Max really hearing me clang around for the kettle. I love having a stove that boils water in less that forever and a day!  And its also nice to check my email in the morning in the study and watch the sun slowly come up.

Still need to get the studio painted.
Currently trying to deside what goes well with teal....white. And while I'm sure that's pretty I'm not sure if I really want a teal and white studio. I think I want more color. Eh..I'll see how I feel after the walls are painted. I'd like to go for a fun almost Retro//whimsy look. And since its my space, I can go crazy. So i've been looking at color schemes and I've been going a wee bit overboard with picking them
I only plan to paint accent colors here and there sooo...yeah. I'm sure What I love will be an eye sore to others. I think I'm like Kayne on Project Runway Season 3...I have questionable taste. (Yes, I'm considering pairing the teal with orange. )

Unfortunately my style is Uber electic and I like too many things. Eventually it will all turn into a cluttered mess of doom.
That's how I roll.

Looking forward to going home, playing WiiFit perhaps then snuggling up with some tea for the night...
After I empty the litter box...
